The abundance of connected boxes and other tools sometimes makes it difficult for hauliers to make the right choice. Aware of this reality, on-board telematics experts are working to simplify data collection. And to improve interoperability between different types of equipment. Discussions also focused on how technology can meet the specific needs of electric vehicles, and the role of telematics in future driverless fleet management...
French experts around the table
To discuss innovations and prospects in truck telematics, Transport Info invited its editor-in-chief, Bertrand Euloge, to join eight major players in the sector. These included Julien Michelon, President of Truckonline, Michael Serisé (Sales Manager, ZF-Transics), Daniel Hourc (Managing Director, Astrata), Fabien Dusserre (Managing Director, Trimble), Gilles Kitchiguine (Managing Director, Eliot), Gaëtan Pierson (Sales Manager, MAN RIO), Emmanuel Messager (Managing Director, S3Pweb) and Gilles Baustert (Marketing Manager, Scania). The diversity of viewpoints and experiences enabled us to provide varied and enlightened answers to each of the questions raised.
